The show the fleets are backing  4th December 2009

newspic.jpgThe International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show has already received an overwhelming amount of support from all of our major truck and trailer manufacturers and has the finest collection of Australia’s ancillary equipment suppliers confirmed for the upcoming event – signs that everyone in our industry is eager to put the tumultuous times of 2009 behind them and kick off 2010 in style.

The colossal support for this marquee transport event however, doesn’t end there. Now some of Australia’s biggest transport fleets, who also happen to be some of Australia’s largest purchasers of road transport equipment, are lending their support to the March event. Some of our country’s most well known and respected transport fleets have offered show organisers the use of their transport fleets, providing full B double trailer combinations that will be used as mobile billboards throughout the next 6 months, proudly showing off vital show information as they move freight across Australia during their day to day business operations.

The participating fleets are as committed as anyone to doing whatever they can to help spread the word to as many people as possible, ensuring highly increased awareness and greater visitor numbers at the event. All units participating in the marketing initiative have been strategically selected depending on what routes they are currently running on. Vehicles have been chosen to ensure that the Show’s message gets to all corners of this massive country, reaching as many Show visitors and potential exhibitors as possible. All combinations have been fitted out with a specially designed truck show curtain and can be seen running up and down the eastern seaboard, across to the West and from South Australia to Victoria. It is the first time that a concept of this kind has been used on a large scale to promote a transport exhibition. It is also the first time that the fleets of our industry have given their backing to an event and have actively engaged in the marketing process.

“The support that we have received from the participating fleets has been fantastic. We held very brief preliminary discussions with the respective fleets to discuss what it was we were trying to achieve and from there they have been only to happy to help,” says Show Director, Clint Hendry.

“The fleet guys believe that the Melbourne event is a real showcase of our industry and what it has to offer. They want to do what they can to not only see it thrive and continue to grow but to also show their support to their highly valued suppliers who will be exhibiting at the event. They also believe that this event reflects perfectly the highly professional environment that is the transport industry,” he adds.

Everyone involved at the ITTE Show would sincerely like to thank GTS Freight Management, Bunker Freightlines, WA Freight Group, The Toll Group and all of the respective staff that have assisted in getting these units on the road. We would also like to thank all of the teams at both Attards and Polyweld for their ongoing support during the supply and fitment process. All vehicles participating in the curtain campaign will be on show at the 2010 event subject to availability.
